Scouting it out

I arrived back in Canada quite early on Saturday so I was able to enjoy the afternoon with my Mom. We decided to check out the 4-acre estate overlooking Lake Ontario that I had suggested for taking pictures after the ceremony.

Because my Mom and I enjoy being nosy, we made sure to try and be there for around 3ish to catch any bridal parties. We weren't disappointed as two groups were having their pictures taken on the grounds. I felt a bit pervy at first but then I noticed that a lot of people who were in the park with their kids were also having a good long look at the bride. I guess brides always attract a certain amount of attention! We were rather foolish and did not bring a camera but here are some shots of the location that I found on Flickr.






Just down the hill from the estate is a small jetty, which would make for some nice pictures if the weather decides to cooperate.

My Mom had never been down to the estate before, so I was quite relieved that she liked the area so much. I'm just happy that we won't need to pay for any kind of license and the location is only a few minutes away from the church and the reception venue.
