Yellow and pink wedding
I really enjoy reading Lyndsy's blog and LOVE the pictures from her wedding taken by Natalie Moser.
I'm not usually a boutonniere fan, but I really like their choice of the yellow flower (whatever it may be). Hopefully there will be more pictures to come.

Rainy long weekend
Woohoo! Work completely blocks all fun sites, but for some reason I can get onto Blogger! Strange....At least I can post about my long weekend:
As one would expect, it was raining. So I busied myself with tidying our new flat and pulling out all of the paper/DIY crappola that I had packed away before our move. I was really quite excited to start as most of the design had already been done. I thought that I would start with the printing of the addresses onto our invitation envelopes. Unfortunately, my crapstastic printer had other ideas. It did not like my gorgeous White Luxe Paper Source envelopes and enjoyed making loud choking noises anytime I tried to feed through the envelopes.
As not to completely ruin all of my lovely envelopes, I decided to give up using the evil printer. That left me with 2 options: labels or addressing each envelope by hand. My handwriting is neat but not pretty, as is Lee's, so the labels won out.
I decided to do it the Martha way, as it seemed the easiest.
However she recommends running her template through a sticker machine and using a bone folder, crease where indicated. I have neither a Xyron sticker machine nor a bone folder so I went to Staples and bought a 100-pack of A4 labels (1 per sheet). I made my own design, printed off 5 per sheet and cut the suckers out. It's not exactly what I had envisioned, but it gets the job done.
So I've got most of the labels done except for those people who I know are moving in the next little while and the random family members that our parents cannot seem to provide us with addresses for.

(I didn't want to stick it to the envelope yet as we're not quite ready for that stage. And don't worry as the extra bits of white on the ends peel off with the label so the white area around the lines is the same...)

Almost moved
Our move into a bigger flat is almost finished. Thank goodness! Lee has left me at the old flat to finish up the cleaning while he assembles the bed, our new bookcase, and miscellaneous other things. (I managed to convince him to drive me to Ikea as we had a big rental van for the move anyways. All it took was the promise of a few meatballs and a drink - score!).
I'm a bit nauseous from all of the cleaning fumes but happy to have a final read-through of all of my favorite websites. We won't have internet at home for quite a while now and it doesn't help that work blocks all of my favorite blogs and even google reader!
At least I'll have a few favorites that have somehow managed to sneak through my work's internet filter (Apartment Therapy, Wedding Bee, This Young House, and Urban Grace Interiors, to name a few) to keep my occupied.
I also wanted to say hello to my dear bridesmaid who is flying out to Africa this weekend to volunteer for 4 months! :) You are about to embark on such an incredible journey. Be safe, learn lots and have fun my dear. Just remember that I will need you to be the farthest bridesmaid from me in all pictures so as not to highlight just how white and pasty I am! Love you.

Rehearsal dinner booked
I don't particularly like calling people (I don't even like ordering a pizza), so I I love it when vendors communicate quickly via email.
Booking our rehearsal dinner was done completely by email and it could not have been easier. We're all booked at Paradiso Restaurant in Oakville, which I always enjoyed going to when I lived in the area. We'll have a private room and our guests will have the choice of a fish, chicken or vegetarian dish. Hopefully it will be a relaxed and casual evening, where we can thank our family and friends for all of their help and support.
