January was a quiet month, as I think it is for most people.

One of the highlights of the month included a bracing walk up the Malverns for my birthday, followed by a lovely spot of lunch.













We also took a two-day trip to London with our 7-year-old niece. It was her Christmas gift and we were so very proud of her enthusiasm and willingness to try new things in the big city. We enjoyed a trip on the London Eye, a nice Italian meal out, a visit to Hamley's, a nightime rickshaw ride, a visit to the Science Museum (fave!) and a tasty cupcake at the Hummingbird Bakery. The only disappointment for her was that she couldn't knock on the front door of Buckingham palace!
