I was just going through my list of 30 things to do before 31. I completed the majority of them, but there are a few left that will need to be added to my next list.
- Make more use out of my library card (for fun reading not school stuff) - Ugh, I started strong on this but have failed in the last few months
Make a blurb book of our wedding (once the DVD arrives)Bake real bread (involving proofing and kneading)Travel to the continent with the hubs (maybe cycling in Brittany?)Continue the tradition of an annual meet up with my former U of Edinburgh classmates (Glasgow 2006, Limerick 2007, Dusseldorf 2008, where's next?)Camp somewhere listed in Cool Camping (one of our great wedding gifts)Visit the Lake District- Have our 4-year old niece over for more sleepovers - We are a bad aunt and uncle
Buy fresh flowers at least once a month- Write letters to my Nana - Feeling very guilty about this one.
Skype friends more often (and harass those who don't have it to get it!)- Run the Stratford half marathon - Couldn't do this one because of a Cup Final for soccer on the same day (which we won!)
- Print out the best of the digital pictures I've taken since moving to the UK and put them in some albums - The books are designed and will be printed once I've saved a bit more cash.
- Finally get my UK driving licence (although driving on the life hand side scares the life out of me) - Epic fail. I'm disappointed in myself on this point. I need to get on this one.
Be more assertive with my boss/PhD supervisorEnjoy a 99 by the river Severn with my husbandMoisturize daily- Continue saving for our dream holiday to Seattle/Vancouver in 2010 - This trip just proved to be too expensive. Bloody Olympics!
Get down to London more often (work-related trips don't count)Go on several picnicsWrite and submit two more research papers for publicationBuy more prints off of EtsyGo for more walks after dinnerUse my cookbooks more often- And I've got a few new ones for Christmas that I can't wait to use.Wear more skirtsFinally get a new haircut - I pretty much have had the same long hair for years- Buy some 'fun' tops for going out (I find I only buy clothes that I can wear for work)
- Be more productive during my commute to and from work (sleep does not count) - I continue to suffer from train-induced narcolepsy. I'm convinced it's genetics and therefore outside of my control :)
Use the Worcester farmer's market more frequentlySupport our local businesses (green grocers, the butcher, our bakery)
